About the Event

The Glebe Foreshore Walk from Bicentennial Park to the Sydney Fish Markets at Pyrmont links over 27 hectares of open space and gives visitors unimpeded public access to Rozelle Bay and Blackwattle Bay. The walk is accessible for pedestrians and cyclists, and includes high quality parkland with diverse settings, easy access to the water for passive recreational craft, protection of heritage sea walls and stone docks, and Indigenous native plants.

We will meet on Chapman Road next to Bicentennial Park where there is a small car park. The car park tends to fill up rather quickly on sunny days, especially on the weekends, so please ensure you have a plan B if there are no spaces left.

The 4 km (return) walk itself is easy and will take about 1.5 hours to complete. For more information about this walk, please visit City of Sydney. When we return to Glebe Foreshore Park, the Club will organise a Bündner Gerstensuppe for lunch. The Park has toilet and BBQ facilities, shaded areas, and picnic shelters.

When: Sunday, 16 July 2023, 10:00 to 15:00.

Where: Glebe Foreshore Park, near Chapman Road, Annandale NSW 2038.

Cost: Members $15.00; Non-members $20.00.

RSVP: Please contact Daniel Frutiger on 0403 502 048 or by email dan.mar04@bigpond.com before Thursday, 13 July to confirm your attendance.
