About the Event
Go on a journey with us to the secluded Hampton State Forest, where wild mushrooms grow in abundance. This event will be a fantastic opportunity to take the whole family for a day of nostalgic picking, just like you may have done back home in Switzerland. Please note that phone service will be very limited in the forest.
We will find two types of edible mushrooms: Saffron Milk Caps and Slippery Jacks. More information about these two mushrooms can be found in our downloadable informative flyer below.
What to bring: Swiss pocketknife, cutlery and crockery, plenty of water and drinks (wine or beer if you wish), small snacks, containers/bags for collected mushrooms (wicker or plastic baskets are best), wet wipes/hand sanitiser. Please wear good closed-toe shoes/gumboots and warm clothing (preferably long pants), including rain gear (just in case).
For more information and QR codes of meeting locations on Google Maps, please download our informative flyer…
